Cerritos College Library Materials Selection Criteria:

"The goal of collection development is to meet the curricular and lifelong learning needs of our students...The collection supports programs in all divisions of the college: Business, Fine Arts / Communication, Health Occupations, HPER/Athletics, Humanities / Social Science, Liberal Arts, Science / Engineering / Mathematics, and Technology in addition to a wide range of other areas, e.g. Student Services, Community Education, etc. The collection also meets the needs of a wide range of students including those preparing to transfer to four year colleges and universities, students enrolled in vocational and technical programs, students enrolled in programs with specialized accreditation (nursing, dental, paralegal, etc.), students enrolled in special programs for job training, students enrolled in community education programs and continuing education programs, students enrolled in remedial programs for non-traditional, and under-prepared students."
