- Memories of the Romanovs
created by Nick Metz

Who were the Romanovs?
The Romanovs were a dynasty that ruled
Russia from 1613 to 1917. The collection on exhibit at the
library includes artifacts that highlight the last Romanov
family headed by Czar Nicholas II. Ninety years after the
family’s assassination by the Bolsheviks, the library has
dedicated the months of May and June to display artifacts that
will take you back in time. Pictures, autographed photographs,
coins, religious icons, books, and other memorabilia are on
display in this rich exposition.
A bibliography on the Romanovs can also
be found at the display case. Pick one up if you would like to
read more about the intriguing lifestyle of those who once ruled
a significant part of the globe. Stop by the reference desk to
check for additional resources.
The exhibit’s curator,
Nick Metz, can be
reached at the circulation department if you would like more information
on any of these items which come from his family’s personal
collection. You can also visit the
Romanovs website
to find out more. Enjoy the exhibition!
