Math 40 : Survey of Mathematics

Prerequisite: Math 20

This course covers topics in pre algebra, informal geometry, and applied arithmetic including but not limited to percent, rates, scientific notation, tables, graphs, the real number line, an introduction to the Cartesian Coordinate system, problem solving techniques, signed numbers, simplifying and evaluating expressions and formulas, solving simple equations, numerical relationships involving lines, angles and polygons.
