Prof. Miodrag  Micic  is  Professor  of Engineering Design Technology, Engineering Technology, New Products Development and Plastics Manufacturing  at Cerritos College in Norwalk, CA.  His research interests includes medical devices and life science instrumentation and methods development, microelectromechanical systems, rapid prototyping and colloid and surface chemistry.  He is teaching variety of engineering design technology, engineering technology and plastics manufacturing courses.  Prof. Micic is also a consultant or member of the board of several life sciences, medical devices and additive manufacturing companies, and was a co-founder of Labratfinder.com  an  AI-based tool for marketing of  life sciences products.

Prof. Micic was a Chief Marketing Officer of Gojira Fine Chemicals LLC,  Chief Marketing Officer;  Vice President for Research and Development at MP Biomedicals LLC, and Senior Application Scientist/Product Manager at Veeco  Instruments Inc Metrology Division in Santa Barbara (nowdaysBruker Nano Surfaces Division) . He was also an Adjunct Project Scientist at BioMEMS Lab, Dept of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of California-Irvine. Prof. Micic was a post-doctoral research fellow at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, an US DOE facility operated by Battelle Memorial Institute.

Prof. Miodrag Micic holds Ph.D. and M.S. in chemistry from University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL; M.T.M. from Washington State University - Tri-Cities Campus, Richland, WA; and Sc.D., and M.Sc. in physical chemistry from University of Belgrade Faculty of Physical Chemistry;  B.Sc./ B.Ed. in physics and fundamentals of engineering education  and University of Belgrade, Faculty of Physics, and B.Sc. in mechanical (naval architecture) engineering from Polytechnic College of New Belgrade, Yugoslavia (nowdays Academy of Applied Technical Studies Belgrade). He is an inventor with issued four  US patents, which are all currently in production. Prof. Miodrag Micic is also a pilot, and he holds FAA issued Commercial Pilot certificate - single engine and multi engine airplane, and he is Certified Flight Instructor  with  Airplane, Single Engine  ratings, and an Advanced Ground Instructor.

He is an author or co-author of over 70 publications most of them in leading scientific journals, with a more than 2,850 citations as of May 2023. Dr. Micic is an editor of the reference book M.Micic,(Ed) "Sample Preparation Techniques for Soil, Plant and Animals Samples", Springer 2015, and is an invited contributor to the reference work "Wiley's Encyclopedia of Biomedical Devices and Instrumentation" and he was a guest editor of Elsevier's Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces journal,Special issue  "Supramolecular Chemistry Applied to Interfaces". 

Prof Miodrag Micic is married and he  lives in Lake Elsinore, California, with his wife Beckah, daughter Allison and Maine Coon cat Lepa. His hobbies are aviation, scuba diving, travelling and exotics animals. His father, Zivorad Micic was a famous Yugoslavian competitive cyclist.
