ACCRUING LAB TIME

To receive lab credit for extra time spent in the Reading Center, you must scan your card or enter your student number and then double click the reading class you are coming in for. To clock out you must follow the same procedure. You are responsible for clocking in and clocking out.  You may NOT clock others in and out. If you are seen doing so, you will be dismissed from the Reading Center and will  not receive credit. Each Monday a report is available in the Reading Center showing the total hours you have accumulated outside of class time. If you have any problems or questions, please see the staff for help!

REMEMBER TO CLOCK-OUT!

Please use your time in the Reading Center wisely. It is your responsibility to CLOCK-IN and CLOCK-OUT; failure to do so will result in the loss of the time accrued.  You are permitted to accrue time ONLY when you are using the center outside of your reading class time.

CERRITOS COLLEGE STUDENT IDENTIFICATION CARD

You will need your Cerritos College Student Identification Card or Permanent Student Number Card to check out materials for use in the Reading Center. No other Cards will be accepted.  Without the proper card, you may NOT check out any materials. Please ask the Reading Center staff for information on obtaining one of these cards. No Materials can be checked out to use outside of the Reading Center.

SKILL BOOKS / ANSWER KEYS

Skill books can be used ONLY in the Reading Center. Proper identification is required. Please take care in handling books and do not write in them.

Answer Keys are located in the bookcase next to the cases of Skill Books.  These keys are provided for you to correct your own work.  The Answer Keys are arranged alphabetically and numerically.  Please DO NOT keep answer keys with you longer than necessary.  You are not required to show ID to check out answer keys.  Please use only one answer key at a time!

COMPLETION OF ASSIGNMENTS

Book Assignments:  Your work must be completed on a separate sheet of paper. Be sure to head your paper with your name, ticket number, and course, and include your instructor’s name.  Indicate the book title, book number or letter, and page/selection/unit number.  Once you have corrected your assignments, you will need to record your scores on your assignment sheets accordingly.

Computer Assignments: Your instructor may assign computer work. Check with your instructor for such assignments. Once you know the computer assignment, you may need to ask the staff for a score sheet if one has not already been provided to you by your instructor.  Some programs are available only in the Reading Center.
