Hi, my name is Sabika
Mithani. I decided to take Geography
105 in the Spring of 2001 and found it to be very enlightening from a cultural
as well as historical perspective. For
my Scholars Honors project I decided to do a research paper on the women of a
country who have been through enormous change in the twentieth century. The women of Iran lived very different lives
before and after the Islamic Revolution led by Imam (leader) Khomeini in 1979.
The Scholars Honors Program is
very beneficial. It has given me
motivation, research skills, and the ability to stay on track and not
procrastinate. In addition, it has
given me wonderful chances to get into top universities. I plan to attend UCLA as a pre med student
in the near future. I encourage
everyone and anyone that is motivated to succeed in life to be part of the
Scholars Honors Program.
