Course Materials:         College Keyboarding & Document Processing Kit 1, (Glencoe 10th edition, Lessons 1-20); Ober, Johnson, Rice & Hanson.

 

Grading:                        The final grade will be determined from lab assignments, timed writings, and a theory exam:

                                                A = 245 – 175                         C = 190 – 219

                                                B = 220 – 244                         D = 165 – 189

                                                                                                F = 164 & Below

 Lab:                     There will be 8 sets of lab assignments, each worth approximately 10-15 points.   Each lesson is worth 5 points. All assignments must be turned in complete and on time to receive full credit.  Incomplete lessons (that have been completed and resubmitted for credit) and late assignments will receive half credit points.  All late assignments must be submitted within one week of the original due date to be accepted for a grade.  It is your responsibility to make up any missed work within the time lines specified here.                                                                                                       100 points

Timed Writings:   Timed writings will be based on the two best 3’ TWs with 5 errors maximum.

                                                A = 30+ GWAM (50 pts)

                                                B = 25+ GWAM (40 pts)

                                                C = 20+ GWAM (30 pts)

                                                D = 15+ GWAM (20 Pts)

100 points

Exams:                 One (1) exam will be given covering theory. This exam will be worth 75 points.                                                                                                                        75 points

 

Attendance:         You are expected to communicate weekly with the instructor through the TalonNet system concerning your assignments.                                                      25 points
