CIS 101 Intro. to Computer Information Systems
PowerPoint Project 1 - Creating and Editing a Presentation
This lab assignment is from the
Introduction to Office 2007 lab book.
Notes: There's a slight error
in the book. On page PPT 61 - 62, To Print a Presentation section.
You will want to print the document in grayscale. The steps are
click the Office Button, select Print, then Print on the submenu to get
the Print dialogue box. Click the drop-down arrow on the
color/grayscale option and select gray scale.
- Read and do the Creating and Editing a
Presentation tutorial, pages
PPT 1 - 65.
- Check your work. When you are done
with the tutorial your document should look like figures 1-90a -
1-90e, page
PPT 62.
- On the title page change the
presenter's name from Dave Ehlin to your name and add the project
name and class section. The subtitles should look like the
following:
- Spring Break in Cabo San Lucas,
Mexico
- Presented by Your Name, CIS 101
PowerPoint Project
1, Class Meeting Day and Time
(example: Friday 9:00 AM)
- 5 Bonus points: This presentation
looks a little boring. To make the presentation more
interesting you can add pictures. Use the Insert Clip Art command
to add a picture to slides 2 - 4 that are related to the topic of that
slide. Please note this assignment is worth 20 points (just
like the other lab assignments) plus the 5 bonus points makes it a
total of 25 points possible. For the online students in TalonNet you
will only see the maximum points of 25. Don't worry. In
the final grade sheet that I use the bonus points will be calculated
properly.
- Save your file one last time.
- Submit your homework for grading:
Traditional students: Print the
presentation. The steps are
on pages PPT 61 - 62. Please staple the pages together.
Points will be taken off for not stapling the assignment.
Online students: upload
the Cabo Package file to the PowerPoint Project 1 assignment
TalonNet.
Be sure to submit/turn in the lab assignment by the
due date.
