CIS 151 Excel For I.T. Lectures & Resources

The lectures below can be viewed and printed in PowerPoint.  If you print out the slides, then I suggest you use the Handouts option to put multiple slides on a page to save paper.  Also, there may be additional notes I have added to the presentation.  Be sure to read the notes in the Notes pane.

The chapter review tests should be used to study for the exams.  I randomly select questions from the review tests for the actual exams.  The chapter reviews have about 30 - 40 questions each.

Excel 2007 Videos:  The videos are in the 2007 version not 2010.  I created them last year.  Most of the information in the videos still apply to the new 2010 version.  So I am leaving them on this page as an optional resource for you.  The videos demonstrate some of the key points in the software.  They do not show all of the commands and details that are in the textbook.  The videos are not a substitution for reading the book, but are provided to enhance your learning.  The videos were created in .wmv files and can be played in any media player that supports .wmv files.  Windows Media player is the default player for Windows and will play the files.  Creating the videos was time consuming especially since I had to add the closed captioning to the videos to be ADA compliant.  I will not be creating any more videos.  I hope you enjoy them.
