CIS 201 Systems Analysis & Design
Project 5
- Read Chapter
5 in your textbook.
- Read and work through the Case-Sim: SCR
Associates on page 218. At the end of the simulation session
there is a task list of things you need to do. You may
complete all of the tasks, but I will be only asking for specific
task items for grading purposes. Please be sure to submit
only the task items I request.
- Note: remember you need a password. The
password is sad7.
- For this simulation session please
submit the following tasks:
- Task #1: List the actors and
possible use cases for the TIMS system. Create a use case
diagram for Determine Schedule, Register, and Maintain Training
Records. Hint: these three use cases are related and
should be on one diagram.
- Task #2: Create a class
diagram for the Register use case. Hints: You will
have five objects: Student, Instructor, Course,
Registration Record, and Training Record.
- Notes: In Visio 2003 you will
find the appropriate templates by selecting File, Shapes and
either Database, Object Relational (for the class diagram) or
Software, UML Use Case (scroll down to get to use case).
In Visio 2007 the path is slightly different. It is File,
Shapes, Software and Database.
-
Remember some of you have never done this before. So
don't get too frustrated. Do the best you can and submit
something by the deadline. I will review it and if you are
on target, then you will get your check mark/points for the
project. If you miss the mark, then I will give you
feedback and allow you to resubmit the assignment. Now
this is not a license to be sloppy or lazy. I can tell
when that is happening. Give it a good honest effort and I
will help you. Also, if you have questions please feel
free to email me.
