General Information

You will be required to write an in-class essay
on the day of the exam. This essay is
worth up to 20 points.

You have the option of using a brief
outline. That outline must be included
with the exam essay

The exam essay should be legible and written in blue
or black ink. Otherwise I cannot grade the essay.
· The essay should be written in a exam blue or green book which can be purchased in the college bookstore or Elbow Room.
Assignment:
· Listed below are three topics. These topics are the conclusions for the assigned chapters in this learning module.
·
Select
the topic that most interests you and carefully read the selected
information so that you fully understand the points being made. It
might be wise to outline the information.
1. Topic One (Chapter 19): Conclusion: The Limits of Progressivism, page 643.
2. Topic Two (Chapter 20): Conclusion: The Divided Legacy of the Great War, page 673.
3. Topic Three (Chapter 21): Conclusion: A New Era of Prosperity and Problems, p. 704

· You can use a brief topical outline when writing the essay. Also, in this topical outline you can include one or two quotations from the text. Select short sentences or passages that make an important point.
