Directions for Completing the Online Orientation

The online orientation is a test on the information in the Basic Syllabus for this course. This test is located in Talon Net. Directions for registering in Talon Net and accessing the test are below.
Directions to access
the online orientation test.
1. Access TalonNet
2. If you never have registered in Talon Net follow the directions shown on the TalonNet Page
3. Log in to Talon Net.
4. Access My Courses – a navigation button located at the top left hand side of the page.
5. This class and ticket number, shown as a hyperlink, should be listed.
6. Access the course.
7. On the “home page” of this course, you will see a list of navigation bars on the left hand side of the page. Access quizzes and tests.
8. Take the test.
Directions for taking
the test: This information is the Introduction to the test itself. These are included here so that you will be
aware of the requirements, etc.
All students must complete this online orientation test. It has 10 questions, each worth 10 points. The points earned on this orientation will be part of your final grade for this class.
Students who are on the roster by July 6 must take this orientation test by July 7. Students who move from the wait list to the roster between July 6 & July 12 must take it by July 13.
The questions on this test are based on the information given in the Basic Syllabus for this class. It is recommended that you read this syllabus carefully and completely and more than once.
The test is timed for 30 minutes. You can take it twice, which means if you do not score well the first time, you have a second chance.
