  • Explore the issues faced by women and African Americans (Slave and Non-Slave) in Antebellum America
  • Examine the impact of the Civil War on the lives of Americans in the North, South and West.
  • Realize the ways that African Americans (slave and non-slave) and women expanded the reality of democracy in the United States.
