I joined the faculty at Cerritos College in the Fall of 2002. However, that was not my first teaching experience at Cerritos; I began my teaching career here in the Spring of 1996 as a part-time instructor. I continued in that capacity through the Spring semester of 1999 when I moved to Oregon where I taught at Chemeketa Community College, Western Oregon University and, most recently, the University of Oregon. Now I am here to stay. I earned my Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting and my MBA at California State University, Long Beach. I worked in public accounting at Deloitte & Touche right out of college, where I earned my CPA certificate, then went of to work as a controller for five years before coming to teach at Cerritos. I bring quite a bit of practical experience examples into the classroom, as well as some pretty silly jokes and titillating bits of trivia (Do you know how much the Queen Mary weighs?) I have taught a wide variety of business courses, to view the list, click here. I hope you find accounting interesting and useful, as it certainly is. Even if it is not your favorite subject, I urge you to never pass up the opportunity to learn something new, you never know when it may come in useful. I have included here information and assignments for the classes I teach.
