FAQ

What is Videoconferencing?

Using videoconferencing technology, two or more people at different locations can see and hear each other at the same time, sometimes even sharing computer applications for collaboration. This rich communications technology offers new possibilities for schools and businesses. Videoconferencing can been used for a variety of purposes, including formal instruction, connection with guest speakers, project collaboration, professional activities and community events.

Placing a video call is a lot like placing a telephone call. After you connect, you see the other person(s) in color video and as an interactive communications medium, it's almost like being there!

Can anyone use the Teleconference Center?

Yes. The Teleconference Center is available for rent by outside agencies, as well as being available to the faculty and staff at Cerritos College.

What do I need to know to hold a video conference?
