Ted Stolze holds an M.A. in religion from Claremont School of Theology and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Claremont Graduate University.  Before coming to Cerritos College in 2004, he taught philosophy and religious studies for 12 years at California State University, Hayward.  He has enjoyed teaching a wide range of courses at Cerritos College, including Introduction to Philosophy, Introduction to Ethics, Critical Thinking, Philosophy of Cultural Diversity, and Philosophy of the Bible.  His academic research primarily deals with Spinoza, Marx, and contemporary French and Italian philosophy.  Finally, he is faculty advisor for the Philosophy Club and serves on the executive board of the Cerritos College Faculty Federation.
