ALTERNATIVE CAREERS IN COURT REPORTING

Alternative Careers in Court ReportingConnecting the steno machine to a laptop computer for realtime writing changed the court reporting profession forever.  This technology has created so many new opportunities for court reporters that they will soon be know as "Information Managers."

Realtime also presents new opportunities for students.  While still in school, court reporting students can be employed doing data entry for police departments, steno interpreting for the hearing impaired, medical transcribing, and open captioning of videos.  All RAPS schools offer computer courses and realtime instruction.  Check out the class schedules at each RAPS schools for more details.
