The Court Reporters Board of California has recognized Downey Adult School as an approved program since 1975. We are also accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Through Downey Unified School District's Adult Education services, we offer very affordable vocational training. We will teach you everything you need to know. All academic classes are geared toward court reporting; all classes will be taken with only court reporting students.
MACHINE classes are held from 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. We are closed Fridays. We have OPEN ENROLLMENT; begin whenever you wish. Theory students have individualized instruction. ACADEMIC classes are offered on M/W; T/Th from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
