Picture of Humphreys CollegeThe objective of the court reporting program is to prepare the student to achieve certification as a California "Certified Shorthand Reporter" (CSR) and to function professionally on entering the field.  The program is approved by the Court Reporters Board of California and complies with all rules and regulations.  By combining the certificate with an associate or bachelor’s degree, the student can attain a stronger academic foundation and knowledge of a broad range of subjects which will be an asset in this challenging profession.

Machine stenography courses are offered during the day only.  Academic courses are offered during day and evening schedules.  Beginning steno theory is offered twice each year, beginning Fall Quarter in September and Spring Quarter in March or April.   Transfer students are welcome.  Our degree programs are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).  Any questions should be directed to our Admissions Office by e-mail to:  bmbodine@humphreys.edu.
