Considerations: 

Verbatim versus edited:  Verbatim captions are generally preferred, depending upon the audience, although other considerations are reading speed and accuracy.  For children’s programming, verbatim may not be the optimum.   

  • multiple captions and captions in other languages with viewer selection

  • Infosign, Interactive TV Links, DTV, Cable, Satellite, Laser Disk
