Description: Form: Strongly scented perennial 1 – 2 feet high. Leaves: Very finely divided into fern-like, alternate leaves. Flower: Many flat-topped clusters with white to pink ray and disc florets. Blooming: May - June. Plant Community: Coastal scrub, Chaparral, and many others worldwide. Uses: Infusion of whole plant used by native Americans to treat colds, fever, and respiratory disorders. Known in the Old World as treatment for cuts and wounds. A common garden plant. Common name: aka Milfoil Latin name: Named after the Greek hero, Achilles who is said to have used this herb to staunch the wounds of his soldiers. Millefolium means “a thousand leaves”.
