work tables and machinery in the woodworking lab The Woodworking Manufacturing Technologies (WMT) Department offers a comprehensive woodworking program to serve a diverse community's needs and provide training aligned with industry needs.

The WMT Department offers courses on state-of-the-art CNC equipment, traditional woodworking wooden cabinets made by students for the department's resource center machinery, and hand tools. Certificate programs are designed to give students comprehensive education and training and the most current understanding of technology in their program of choice. Classroom theory is combined with hands-on woodworking experience, emphasizing training for specific job skills. Over 40 courses are offered in cabinetmaking, furniture making, and CNC woodworking.

  • Three bench labs.
  • Four machine labs.
  • A CNC lab.
  • A computer lab.
  • A finishing spray booth.
  • A lumber room.
  • A student project storage area.

The department regularly receives calls from business owners and operators seeking qualified workers. Many graduates of the program have entered the woodworking industry.
