Outdoor Classroom Coordinator
My name is Nada Ghaneian and I have been the Outdoor Classroom Coordinator at Cerritos College Child Development Center since 2016. Prior to this teaching position I spent 8 years working and growing at UCLA Early Care and Education with children from 2 months to 5 years. In my last year at UCLA I coordinated our outdoor curriculum meetings. My educational background includes a bachelors in Child Development from San Diego State and a Masters in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from NYU. In addition to my experience at UCLA, I currently work with a non-profit organization, Peace 4 Kids, that helps support children in foster care. I am trained in Mindful Awareness practices for children. As well as a recent graduate of Next Generations Yoga for kids training. I can't wait to bring my experiences and learnings to your outdoor space.
I am excited to be at Cerritos CDC. I am looking forward to working alongside all
the teachers and to learn and grow with the children. One of my driving forces in
this field​ is getting to observe those "Aha" moments that children have.
