  • Student Pens Book on Racism

    Terrence McCrea, English student, self-published his first book titled What Should We All Do After the Trayvon Martin Trial? The nonfiction book focuses on what solutions about racism, the importance of education and learning history. “I’m another Trayvon Martin. I had to speak up against hate and violence,” he said, referring to injustice resulting from racial profiling of young black males.   • HPEDA Hosts Athletic Training Students from Osaka, Japan

    Twenty-one students from Osaka, Japan, visited Cerritos College on September 22 and 23 to learn from the College's top-notch athletic training professors and to experience life at an American college. This marks the 13th year the College has welcomed students from Osaka Jikei College in the Sports Therapy Program to teach them about the College's offerings in Athletic Training Certification Program...   • Break the Cycle Sexual Abuse Prevention Panel a Success

    The College presented a sexual abuse prevention panel on September 21. The well-attended event featured panelists including a clinical social worker, deputy district attorney, Campus Police Chief Tom Gallivan to raise awareness about sexual abuse prevention.
