  • interACT Performance Inspires Students

    interACT, a nationally renowned social justice performance was received by a house full of students on November 17. Students were invited on stage to become active participants. The performance allowed audience members a safe space to rehearse assertive communication strategies in various situation sets and inspired social and political change.

    Senator Tony Mendoza (D-Artesia) kicked off the holiday season on November 18 by collecting and distributing turkeys to local organizations that assist area families in need as a part of the annual “Operation Gobble” program at Cerritos College. The College has hosted the holiday event for three years.

  • Paula Pereira Speaks at English Learner Conference

    Paula Pereira served as keynote speaker at the English Language Learner Institute 2016 for educators in Austin, Texas. She spoke about her book, her immigrant experiences, and art. Paula also offered two breakout session and highlighted the services and resources the Cerritos College Library offers for ESL population.
