  • Afro-Mexican history lecture
  • Black History Month Events Continue

     

    A house full of students attended a lecture on the Afro-Mexican origins found among the
    first settlers of the pueblo of Los Ángeles on February 7, presented by history professors John Macías and Walter Fernández. On February 9, students freely expressed themselves on social issues and African-American influence on the American music scene in an open mic session Porch Talks.   • College Welcome Back Students with Free Food

     

    New and continuing students of Cerritos College were treated to a special welcome-back-to school free meal provided by the award-winning Culinary Arts program. Free meals were served at Welcome Day on February 8 and Welcome Night on February 9 at the ASCC’s Welcome/Club Info activities in Falcon Square. Student clubs provided information to get involved on campus with fun activities, displays and demonstrations.
