  • Falcon Kids Visit Cerritos College

     

    More than one hundred fifth graders from Dolland Elementary became Falcons for a day on February 28. The iFalcon team launched the new Falcon Kids program to promote a “college going” culture in the community. The children were greeted by Franco Falcon, student leaders and college administrators, then took a campus tour to see college programs and offerings. At the end, they enjoyed lunch with student volunteers that introduced them the college life.

  • Falcon Games and Spring Festival Bring out School Spirit

     

    Falcon Games took place on March 6 - 8. For three days, all clubs on campus competed in a friendly games to win cash prizes. The Spring Festival on March 9 featured a cupcake contest and Mr Cerritos contest. Cupcake contest included a judge's panel of administrators, managers, faculty and staff.   • Child Development Kids Have Some Fun with the Sun 

     

    Twenty children from the Child Development Center enjoyed a sun observation and astronomy session on March 7. The children took an on-campus field trip to the observation deck on the roof of new Mathematics/Computer Information Sciences Building to observe the Sun with a special telescope and learn about the solar system, such as meteorites, planets, and stars.

  • Sixth Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony a Great Success

     

    The Cerritos College Hall of Fame inducted its 2017 class on March 2 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Norwalk. Cerritos College President/ Superintendent Dr. Jose Fierro welcomed more than 300 people to the dinner.   • Community Resource Fair Coming to Cerritos College

     

    Cerritos College will host the ninth annual Community Resource Fair on Thursday, March 30. Attendees can learn about resources in the community such as child care, health care, legal aid, credit counseling, services for the disabled, shelters, social services, treatment programs, foster youth services and many more.   • Promote Your Program to Over 1,000 High School Seniors and Counselors! 

     

    Campus departments are invited to host a booth for Senior Preview Day scheduled on Friday, April 7, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Senior Preview Day is an open house and a lively exhibit fair where local high school seniors and counselors have an up-close view of campus programs, see demonstrations, and participate in college culture. “We expect to host 1,100 attendees,” said Shirley Arceo, school relations coordinator...   • iFalcon 3.0 Encourages Students to ‘Get into the Habit’ 

     

    iFALCON 3.0 aims to engage students through a new three-tiered strategy, including a rebranding campaign, community outreach, and a new set of Habits of Mind workshops.   • Women's History Month 30th Anniversary Celebration Events

     

    Women's History Month featured a Women and Labor presentation featuring Dr. Linda Perkins, Associate University Professor and Director of Applied Women's Studies at Claremont Graduate University, and the Employer Panel last week.
