- Cerritos College Celebrates President Scholars Graduates
Cerritos College celebrated the second cohort of its President Scholars Academy in May. Nineteen high school students from the College’s partner unified school districts, ABC, Norwalk/La Mirada, Bellflower, Paramount, and Downey graduated from high school and completed 24.5 units of Cerritos College credit courses. Six of their eight Cerritos College classes they completed are transferable to the California State University and University of California systems...Link to the full story about President Scholars Academy
- Student Building Bridges and a Culture of Understanding
Manny Muratalla discovered his interest in Chinese culture when he began taking Kung Fu lessons while in high school. For the Bellflower native born to Mexican parents, Manny was fascinated by Chinese culture. He enrolled in Chinese classes at the College in spring 2013 after graduating Somerset High School. The same year, he had an opportunity to travel to China for the first time for two weeks on a scholarship...Link to the full story about Manny

- Dean Nick Real Presents at Career Pathways Conference
Instructional Dean of Technology Dr. Nick Real and grant partners presented the progress made by the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Technology Linked Learning (AMETLL) Consortium at the California Career Pathways Trust Conference in San Diego on May 2.
