Dr. Maulana Karenga Headlines Black History Month Celebration
Dr. Maulana Karenga, the world-renowned creator of Kwanzaa and the Nguzo Saba, will
be the keynote speaker at the 2018 Black History Month celebration on February 14.
Dr. Karenga is professor and chair of the Department of African Studies at California
State University, Long Beach and is internationally known for his expertise on African-American
history and culture. His lecture will focus on: Living the Legacy of Black History:
Struggle, Striving, Service, Sacrifice and Achievement. Early arrival is strongly
suggested.
