STEM Symposium Inspires Students
Cerritos College hosted the STEM Symposium in partnership with Sabio on February 8. The Symposium featured panel discussions on future technology, entrepreneurship in technology, and careers in technology. The all-day event also included a complimentary photo session for professional headshots and networking reception. The event attracted not only Cerritos College students but also some students from another community college.
African Drum Performance Kicks off Black History Month
The 2018 Black History Month kicked off last week with drum and dance performance featuring performers from Senegal. Students, faculty and administrators joined them on stage. This week, Dr. Maulana Karenga, the world-renowned creator of Kwanzaa and the Nguzo Saba, will be the keynote speaker on February 14. Black History Month events are offered through February. Employee Giving Campaign Kick-off Party February 14
The Employee Giving Campaign will raise funds for student scholarships and college success programs, while focusing on a culture of giving back to our students. Campus Police will present R.A.D., a 12-hour program of realistic self-defense techniques taught by nationally certified instructors.
