Employee Giving Campaign Kicks Off
College hosted the Employee Giving Campaign Kick-off Party on February 14 with lunch, games, entertainment, and raffles. The Employee Giving Campaign will raise funds towards Finish Great, a campaign that raises $12 million for student scholarship and college success programs. The Employee Giving Campaign runs from February 14 through March 31.
Black History Month Features Dr. Maulana Karenga
The 2018 Black History Month last week highlighted Dr. Maulana Karenga, the world-renowned
creator of Kwanzaa and the Nguzo Saba. Dr, Karenga spoke about Living the Legacy of
Struggle, Striving, Service, Sacrifice and Achievement. The presentation also featured a performance by professor Steve Rosa’s dance class. Black History Month events are offered through February.
Engineering Design Technology Bridge Students Get Full-Ride Scholarships to Top Universities
Cerritos College Bridge Program students Ashly Medina and Abieiden Lopez from Lynwood High School were accepted to Columbia University and Stanford University respectively on a full-ride scholarship for fall 2018.
