How will the outcome be communicated

You will receive a letter from the A&S Committee regarding the results of their decision. Included will be any stipulations for reinstatement such as unit limitations, or required coursework. These stipulations are not subject to change.

You may also check myCerritos and verify if your DISMISSAL hold has been removed.

  • If your petition is approved.

You are now cleared to enroll through MyCerritos during the 'open enrollment' period which is one week prior to the beginning of the semester unless you have submitted an 'Enrollment Priority Appeal Petition' and it has been approved. If you have not submitted an appeal and you meet the criteria, submit the petition. Please read the criteria on the petiiton carefully as only those reasons for exceptions that are listed will be considered.

The A&S Committee limited the amount of units you may enroll into for in the Fall semester. Unit limits determined by the committee will not subsequently be altered. Please refer to the Fall class schedule if further enrollment instructions are needed.  The Committee hopes that you will establish immediate and long-range goals that you can achieve.

  • If your petition is denied.

You may not attend Cerritos College during the Fall semester. You may however attend another community college, or return to Cerritos in the Spring 2016 semester. If you want to return for the Spring semester, please re-apply to Cerritos College and attend a Success Workshop. You will receive advice and strategies to help you succeed in your educational goal.
