DID YOU KNOW...

Do you have an idea to improve Canvas... Submit a Feature Idea. Canvas allows instructors to submit any suggestions to improve its learning management system.  To submit a feature idea, click on the Help icon at the bottom left-hand corner and select the "Submit a Feature Idea" link. 

Once you have submitted an idea, contact Cynthia Alexander at calexander@cerritos.edu to further initiate your idea. 


CANVAS UPGRADES - Gradebook and SpeedGrader

Gradebook and SpeedGrader will now be alerting instructors when a grade was entered that is higher than the maximum amount.

For instance, if an assignment is worth 10 points and the student was give 100 points, the instructor will receive an alert in Gradebook and SpeedGrader.

Effective: September 17, 2016. 


MIGRATION – “How To” Videos

There are now several “How To” Migration Videos available. These videos included migrating content from TalonNet to Canvas, migrating content from Canvas by Instructure to our Canvas site, and copying content from one course to another.

NEW FEATURES

Canvas will be now be offering Open Attribution Builder. This tool will allow you to cite open materials used in your course content, including variations and details for Creative Commons licensed material or items in the public domain. Open Attribution Builder tool is found in the Rich Content Editor.
