OPTION F: BOARD OF REGISTERED NURSING REFERRAL

The Nursing Program offers applicants who completed their nursing education in another country and have been referred by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) the opportunity to complete the required content areas to be eligible to qualify for RN licensure. The program can only provide courses in Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Psychiatric nursing. We do not have medical-surgical availability.

Prerequisites and Additional Clearances and Requirements

Option F Applicants are required to provide a valid letter of referral from the California Board of Registered to the Director of the program.

Option F Applicants do not need to meet with a health occupations counselor to review prerequisite completion and to complete the entire nursing application. Applicants should submit to the Health Occupations Office the first page of the application, a valid letter of referral from the California Board of Registered Nursing and proof of passing the above prerequisites. The Director of the Nursing program will then review the documents and determine eligibility for admission.

Option F Applicants are only completing 1-2 required courses from the CA-BRN and are not receiving an Associate Degree in Nursing from Cerritos College.

*Admission into the program is based on space availability.
