College for Youth Program Offers New Classes in Science, Computers, Music, Acting and more

Girls in a cooking classWHAT: Registration for the summer 2019 College for Youth program is now open at Cerritos College. Classes begin June 17 and continue through August 9. This summer, the College will offer more fun, new science classes, including: Marvel vs. DC with Legos, Dinosaurs: Monsters from the Past, Minecraft-Utilizing Math to Create!, Rocket Science & Astronomy, Digital Designs, Kids Acting Workshop, American Sign Language, and Violin. The College for Youth program offers affordable classes for kids grades 1st through 12th in reading and writing, math, science computers, college prep, career exploration, enrichment, music, art, athletics, and swimming. 

Educational classes offered through this program will get children excited about learning and familiar with a college campus. There are four, two-week sessions that run through the summer, Monday - Friday, and all classes are age appropriate. Classes begin at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m. or 3 p.m. Students can attend one or two classes, or stay all day and enjoy four different classes each session. A free, supervised lunch break is offered, and extended child care is available.
