Doctoral Practicum Program

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Cerritos College Psychological Services provides short-term therapy services on campus in the Student Health & Wellness Center (SHWC). Trainees provide Cerritos College students with brief individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention, classroom presentations or workshops, and assist with Psychological Services outreach and mental health promotion events on campus.  Such health promotion events may include presentations on Stress Management and Coping with the Holiday Blues.

Trainees must also be able to work with diverse populations, especially Latinx, Veterans, LGBTQ, students with disabilities, and students from various cultural backgrounds.
