Dual Enrollment is used to describe enrolling in a college course and earning college credits while enrolled in a K-12 institution. 

• Research shows that students who participate in dual enrollment programs are most likely to graduate high school and continue onto college.
• Provides an introduction to higher education for students.
• Offers a low-cost or no cost way to earn college credit.
• Courses may be taken in person at the high school or Cerritos College. 
• Courses may be offered online.
• Research has shown students who take dual enrollment courses are more confident in future academic coursework.
• Access to community college services such as the library, tutoring, and counseling. 
• The opportunity for career exploration and to take courses of interest that may not be offered at their school.
