Life of Cesar Chavez Celebrated with Stunning Performance

The Puente Program presented a special event celebrating and learning about Cesar Chavez, former UFW Leader, through a riveting performance by Roberto Alcaraz, assistant professor of theatre at CSULA, on March 31, Cesar Chavez Day. A house full of students was drawn to the one-man act by Alcaraz portraying Cesar Chavez, who made an impassioned call for the students to think about the power of advocacy and organized labor.

LCP March Mixer Week Connects Students and Success Teams

The LCP team hosted the LCP March Mixer Week with free food, refreshments, and fun games to bring students staff, faculty and success teams together to connect and learn more about LCPs. Students also had the opportunity to have a counselor create an educational plan and ask questions. An LCP is a collection of majors that have related content or fit within similar career areas.

Earth Day Festival

Free Family Earth Day Celebration Coming to Cerritos College on April 22

To celebrate planet Earth and raise awareness about environmental issues, Cerritos College will host an Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 22. Open to all, the free event will feature carnival games, giveaways, and crafts. President's Speaker Series Featured The Art of Financial Planning

Led by the SchoolsFirst FCU representatives, the second session of the President’s Spring 2023 Speaker Series featured tips on financial goal setting, short- and long-term money strategies, and insight into retirement savings options.
