The Counseling Department is dedicated to assisting students in developing transitional skills to help them achieve success in their academic, career, and life goals in an inclusive environment that embraces the diversity of our students and community.
Appointments are booked Monday- Friday beginning at 8:00 am. Please call (562) 467-5231 or come to the Counseling Front Desk located in the Administration Building.
Monday-Thursday appointments are are available 8:00 am – 6:30 pm.
Friday appointments are available 8:00am-2:00pm.
Please note: Appointments may be limited during peak registration time.
In order to schedule a counseling appointment you must be a continuing, transfer or re-admit student.
Do you have quick question regarding the current semester? Stand-By Counseling may be the solution.
Questions on transcripts and comprehensive education plans will require a 30-minute counseling appointment.
Freshman, students transferring in from other schools, F-1 VISA students, and students on financial aid are required to meet with a counselor for program planning and approval before registration.
1. A copy of your Cerritos College unofficial transcript
2. Copies of transcripts from all other colleges attended (if applicable)
Check-in for your appointment at the Counseling Front Desk inside the Administration Building. For International Students with an F-1 Visa, please contact a counselor through the International Student Center at (562) 860-2451, Ext. 2133.
For counseling appointments:
• Have a valid Cerritos College Student ID Number (7 digits)
• Be a continuing, transfer or re-admit student
