The MESA Center is located in the library building downstairs next to the Success Center. Keep an eye out for the MESA signs and banner that guide you to the MESA Center!  

Upon acceptance to the MESA program, you can use the MESA center for studying and tutoring (individual and group study space), computer lab workspace, multipurpose meeting space. Feel free to also rest and relax at our lounge area and store books and personal belongings in a dedicated space.

Program goals and expectations are presented to you and your family and friends. Information regarding academic and social adjustments to college as a MESA participant and STEM major are also presented.

Transfer assistance is implemented through field trips to four-year colleges or universities, admissions applications workshops, financial aid, and academic advisement. Furthermore, we collaborate with pipeline/pathway programs from community college and on to four-year institution MESA partners including but not limited to California Alliance for Minority Participation (CAMP), university level MESA programs, and other similar programs.

A MESA Student Educational Plan designates a clear curricular pathway, reduces unit accumulation, and minimizes the amount of time necessary to transfer and complete your calculus-based STEM degree.

Academic Excellence Workshop (AEW) is a small community of students working collaboratively to master course material with the guidance of a MESA facilitator. AEWs are designed to enhance learning by focusing on problem solving the difficult elements of the course collectively and foster an environment where you demonstrate the ability to perform, achieve, and/or excel.

Community building opportunities are fun, engaging activities that reinforce the sense of community, identity, and personal development. And a way for you to get to know your MESA program peers!
