The Cerritos College Biotechnology Program offers two certificates of achievement and one associate of science (AS) degree. The Biotechnology I: Wet Lab Skills Certificate of Achievement introduces core skills needed for entry level positions in many biotechnology laboratories like pipetting, micropipetting, solution preparation, polymerase chain reaction, and agarose gel electrophoresis. The Biotechnology II: Biomanufacturing Certificate of Achievement builds upon concepts and skills learned with the first certificate and applies them to processes and regulations common to the biomanufacturing industry.
