Dr. Shin Liu was elected to the Cerritos Community College District Governing Board in 2009. She has served as board president, vice president, and clerk in her trustee role. She represents District area 5, encompassing Cerritos, Artesia, segments of Lakewood, Norwalk, and Santa Fe Springs. Dr. Liu was re-elected in 2018.
Dr. Liu holds a Doctorate in Computer Information Systems from Argosy University, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Texas, and an undergraduate degree from National University of Education in Taiwan.
She is a tenured professor of Computer Science at Rio Hondo College, with extensive field expertise as a Microsoft Certified Software Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Engineer, and Blackboard Certified Trainer.
