Public Notice: Invitation for Third-Party Comments Regarding the Dental Assisting Program

The Cerritos College Dental Assisting Program will undergo an accreditation site visit by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) on November 12-14, 2024.

CODA is now accepting any third-party comments related to the CODA-assigned standards and policies.  Comments must be sent to CODA via email or phone no later than September 13, 2024. CODA email addresses and phone numbers are listed on the CODA staff webpage.

The Dental Assisting Program (DA) is a part of the Health Occupations division and offers both a Certificate in Dental Assisting and with additional course work, an Associates in Arts degree in Dental Assisting. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the State and National board examinations. The DA program offers a Summer Orthodontic Assistant course for our program graduates.

The Cerritos College Dental Assisting Program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
