Retiree Carol Reed Recognized
The Cerritos College Board of Trustees recognized retiree Carol Reed for her many
years of service to the College at the February 6 board meeting.
Carol Reed began her employment in December 1997 as the Dispensary Lab Tech Assistant. She received her cosmetology license from L.A. Trade Tech College, and won more than 10 trophies in various student competitions. Carol spent 15 years working in various salons before joining the Cerritos family. What she loved the most was working in the dispensary lab helping students mixing their formulas correctly. She loved being a hairdresser and passed on her passion to the students when she could. Carol enjoys physical challenges as well. She completed the L.A. marathon in 1998, climbed Mount Whitney, the highest mountain in California, and was an avid skier, traveling to various states with her ski group. Carol has a daughter, a son, a 25-year-old granddaughter, and a 17-year-old grandson.
