Nursing Curriculum Pathway

The Cerritos College Nursing Program is four semesters in length and courses are sequenced from simple to complex.  Each nursing course has a lecture and clinical component.   Both lecture and clinical must be passed concurrently.  Lecture components are graded and students must achieve > 75% for “C” and passing grade.   Clinicals are not assigned a grade.  Students must meet all critical clinical competencies and meet clinical learning objectives with “satisfactory”.   Students complete 36 nursing units, as well as 30 general education units, to achieve the Associate Degree in Nursing.  The student will be eligible to apply for the State National Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses.
