Cerritos College to conduct active shooter training drill on February 26
In its ongoing commitment to campus safety, Cerritos College will conduct active shooter response training on Wednesday, February 26, in the morning. The drill, coordinated by the Cerritos College Police Department, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (Norwalk Station), the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and local first responders, is designed to enhance emergency preparedness. WHAT:
- Two simulated active shooter scenarios staged on campus
- Multiple student volunteers will serve as “victims”
- Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will extract “victims” and provide treatment
- A helicopter will fly by
