Laura Capel named Employee of the Month of December 2024

The Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee Selection Committee named Laura Capel, dishwasher in Health Occupation's Culinary Arts Program, as Outstanding Classified/Confidential Employee of the Month for December 2024. 

Laura began her career as the dishwasher in our Culinary Arts Program in August 2023.

Laura exemplifies initiative and dedication, consistently going above and beyond to ensure the Culinary Arts department runs smoothly. She has tackled the monumental task of washing over 2,500 dishes, pots, utensils, and more while maintaining a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Her flexibility with her schedule to accommodate the needs of both lab classes speaks volumes about her commitment to the team. Affectionately known as "the Terminator, " Laura approaches every task with determination and efficiency, completing her work quickly and effectively. 

Laura, you genuinely are the department's backbone; operations would not be nearly as efficient without her. Thank you for your commitment to our campus and ensuring its student success.  We are proud that you are a Cerritos College employee and commend you for your outstanding dedication.
