Looking Back at the Best Moments of 2019
What a Year! Cerritos College begins spring semester with a look at its best moments of 2019. “Cerritos College made a lot of exciting progress toward student success in 2019. As we start a new decade, we have extraordinary opportunities to expand our ability to better serve the community and students. For 2020, we will keep our focus on meeting the basic needs of our students, including ways to tackle student homelessness and food insecurity; and nurturing a campus environment that spurs innovation,” said Dr. Jose Fierro, president/superintendent. Election 2020 – Voter Center and Census Site
Stay engaged! Cerritos College will serve as an official Voter Center for the 2020 election. The election process throughout Los Angeles County has been revolutionized. Now, residents can vote 11 days prior to the Primary Election (March 3, 2020) and General Election (November 3, 2020) through a new system called the Voting Solutions for All People (VSAP). Voters can cast their ballots at any location throughout the County. Take a look at how the new system works. Census Day is April 1, 2020. The College will also feature a Census Action Kiosk (CAK) with designated computers for public and campus use located in the library. Don’t be left out of this once-in-a-decade count. Census data helps businesses, researchers, communities, lawmakers, and Cerritos College make vital decisions. Look for more details about the Census and the new voting system in the coming weeks.
