2020 Black History Month Beyond Measure

Celebrate Black History Month

Our Black History Month celebration began over the weekend at the Black College Tour. Join us for a Double Dutch in Falcon Square on Thursday, February 6 at 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Jumping Double Dutch was a staple pastime for African-American and inner-city girls in communities across the US. Be a kid again and join us for our Double Dutch tutorial. Snacks will be provided (while supplies last). View the events calendar for more activities.

Inaugural Student Services Block Party a Success

A special shout out to the Student Services team for hosting its first Spring Block Party in the Administration Quad on February 3. Approx. 250 students had a blast, and danced along with the D.J., enjoyed free tacos, had a chance to win prizes, and talked to Student Services programs about a variety of resources provided by Financial Aid, Career Services, Veteran Resources Center, Transfer Center, CalWORKS/International Students, Counseling, Admissions, SAS, EOPS/CARE/LINC, Student Health Services, and Student Activities.

APIDA Awareness Week

Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Awareness Week Features Various Cultures

The College hosted its Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Awareness Week on January 27-30. The week’s activities were filled with cultural presentations, and unique activities like Chinese chess and a Bollywood performance. A big congratulations to the APIDA planning committee for facilitating a great celebration.

The exhibit featuring Badly Licked Bear: CASSANDRA is on until February 7, 2020. WINDOW DRESSING is an annual cycle of short-term installations in the exterior vitrine of the Cerritos College Art Gallery.

2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)

Individuals in Los Angeles and Orange County who have tested positive for the respiratory illness, 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV). At present there are no cases in the campus community. Student Health & Wellness Services advises persons who recently traveled from Wuhan City or other affected areas in the past 14 days or have had close contact with someone suspected or known to have 2019-nCoV to watch for flu-like symptoms including... University Mini Fair

University Mini Fair on February 6

Students are invited to participate in our "Transfer Awareness Week" at the Transfer Center. More than 60 schools will be on campus, including ASU, UC Merced, CSUN, CSULB, GCU, among others. Free donuts are available on Thursday, February 6, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Falcon Square.
