Erik Duane and another actor on stage

Erik Duane takes stage as hero in 9/11 tribute musical

Our very own Erik Duane, Senior Technical Support Specialist, and his musical company were featured by CBS2 News as the Orange County theater group honors the victims and survivors of the 9/11 attacks with their original production of the musical Bright Blue Sky. Erik, a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, performs as Clyde, an NYPD officer whose duty reflects the pure bravery displayed on that fateful morning. The musical premiered on September 11 at the Rose Center Theater in Westminster and will run until Sunday, September 20. Watch the report on CBS News.

This year, a record 56 students applied for a paid summer research internship, a significant increase from the typical 15 to 20 applications. Six students were selected to collaborate with USC graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, enhancing their experience and confidence in sustainable chemistry. Since 2009, nearly 70 Cerritos College students have participated over 17 summers, positively influencing their academic and professional paths in STEM fields.
